NASCAR Trackside is a NASCAR race themed show on Speed Channel. Hosted by Steve Byrnes (until 2010), now Krista Voda, the show features former NASCAR Crew Chiefs Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond as well as former Cup Champion Darrell Waltrip (NASCAR On FOX races only). Elliott Sadler, driver of the Richard Petty Motorsports #19 sponsored by Stanley Tools currently occupys the seat in Darrell's absence (which included the May Dover race in 2010 because of Waltrip attending daughter Jessica's graduation from Belmont University, daughter Sarah's graduation, and all ESPN races). Before him, Darrell's brother Michael Waltrip, former driver of the #55 NAPA Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing filled this position. Sans Sadler, & M. Waltrip these also make up the team during NASCAR on FOX telecasts with Byrnes as a pit reporter, McReynolds and Waltrip as commentators alongside Mike Joy and Hammond with Chris Myers in FOX's at track studio named the 'Hollywood Hotel'. The show focuses on the weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup race, with drivers from the Series as guests. During the Michigan broadcast on 13 August 2010 it was announced that Steve Byrnes was leaving the show to be the host for NASCAR Race Hub also broadcast on SPEED.
The show was originally broadcast from various locations in and around the track, from pit road to the infield to the garage. Eventually this format was dropped and Trackside was re-located to its current position on the Speed Channel Stage which is usually placed outside of the racetrack. Guests include former and current NASCAR drivers as well as NASCAR personalities and celebrities that happen to be at the track.
The unofficial slogan for the show is "We work hard & we play hard!"
